Natalie Cole’s first gold album of career and she is the first black female artist in soul music history to receive Grammies for “Best New Artist” and “Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female”.
This is Cole second certified gold album. She went on to win another Grammy award for “Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female” for “Sophisticated Lady” at the 19th annual Gammy Awards Show on 19th February 1977.



“Unpredictable” became Miss Cole first platinum certified album. The gold single from the album “I’ve Got Love on My Mind”, peaked at number 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and topped the R&B Charts in 1977.

Sparkle is an Aretha Franklin soundtrack album, written and produced by Curtis Mayfield. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard R&B and Soul Album Chart.



“A Lonely Man” includes The Chi-Lites most successful single “Oh Girl”, which topped both the Billboard Pop and R&B Singles Charts in 1972. The album “A Lonely Man”was the group first and only album to achieve the number one postition on the Billboard Soul and R&B Album Chart starting 10th June 1972 for five weeks. The album sold over 800,000 copies in the United States.


The “Super Fly” soundtrack was number one on both the Billboard 200 and R&B and Soul Albums Charts in 1972. The album grossed over $20 million for the recording industry and produced two million-selling singles.Freddie’s Dead” Billboard Pop Singles Chart at number 4 and Billboard R&B and Soul Singles Chart at number 2.“Super Fly” Billboard Pop Singles Chart number 8 and Billboard R&B and Soul Singles number 5. 



“Back To The World” was Mayfield’s final gold certified studio album and R&B and Soul number one on the Billboard chart as a solo artist.
